Local design incubator Starch released the collections of this year’s designers with a reception at Saifi Village.
Designers Joe Arida, Nour Najem, Yasmine Jaber, Sako Dersahagian and photographer Charbel Saade presented their work at Starch’s Saifi Village shop last night, culminating a year of mentorship by the Beirut NGO.
Starch was founded eight years ago by Lebanon’s own Rabih Kayrouz and Tala Hajjar as a means to support local design. They provide contacts and exhibition space to emerging talent that might not otherwise have the ability to pursue careers in design.
The new collections will be available for sale at Saifi Village.
