PIERPAOLO PICCIOLI’S SOLO DEBUT
Yesterday, Valentino’s designer Pierpaolo Piccioli showcased his debut solo haute couture collection in Paris. His former creative partner Maria Grazia Chiuri became Dior’s first female creative director, so both parted ways.
His collection was described as otherworldly, with simple, delicate forms and gentle colors. The models were transformed into goddesses as they were walking to the music composed by French film composer Alexandre Desplat.
Maria Grazia Chiuri has an equally breathtaking Dior show on Monday. Whether they’re working together or separately, we know that Chiuri and Piccioli are two haute couture geniuses.
