NYFW MIDWEEK FORECAST
We’re only halfway through New York Fashion Week and so far we’ve seen little Harper Beckham sitting FROW with Anna Wintour, DVF bringing out an army of supermodels (Karlie Kloss, Jourdan Dunn, Joan Smalls, Karen Elson and Naomi Campbell) and singers, such as Janelle Monáe and Rita Ora, performing live on the runway. Here are three hot trends for spring/summer 2014 that Aïshti’s buyers are already going crazy for.
Panels of sheer material, plain or patterned, softened masculine cuts and bold colors across the first shows. Above top, left to right: Tibi, Prabal Gurung and Victoria Beckham. Above bottom, both looks: Rebecca Taylor.
This year’s all-white trend is set to continue until next year, with designers throughout NYFW championing this striking style. Get that crisp look with sharp tailoring and geometric silhouettes, matched with splashes of pure-white leather to up the luxury stakes. Top, left to right: Diane von Furstenberg, Victoria Beckham, Rebecca Taylor. Bottom, left to right: Victoria Beckham, Prabal Gurung.
Extend your gym membership: next season’s biggest bubble-up trend from the street is the 90’s-style crop top. Should you not be keen on exposing your midriff, take note from Rebecca Taylor, who masterfully matches crop tops with high-waisted skirts or second layers.
