MARC JACOBS SPRING 2016
“I love that mix of things, that high and low, that rich and poor, all of those contrasts, the everyday and the extraordinary.”
— Marc Jacobs
The Marc Jacobs Spring 2016 collection was an exuberant affair that took place in the famed New York Ziegfeld theater, celebrating high and low culture, iconic movies and all that is New York City. Below we have rounded up some of the most innovative bags from the collection.
The Snapshot, as seen on the Spring 2016 runway, is designed in the shape of a classic camera bag. The bag is available in a wide variety of patterns, bold colors, sequin checkers and other motifs, and features a removable guitar strap adding to the bag’s playful impact.
Inimitable opera legend Maria Callas’ image as Medea is transformed into a silk screen kind of print. The allover monochrome pattern is featured on several items in the collection including totes and backpacks.
And in celebration of the city that never sleeps and America as a whole, a white, blue and red color scheme is demonstrated throughout the collection down to the bags.
All items available at Marc Jacobs 137 El-Moutrane Street Downtown, Beirut T. 01 991 111 ext.148 and Marc Jacobs, Aïshti by the Sea, Level 2, Antelias, T. 04 717 716 ext.247
