LEBANON IN PAGES
A new book pays gorgeous tribute to Lebanese photographer and filmmaker Fouad Elkoury.
Titled Passing Time and published by Kaph Book, the volume features 160 previously unseen photographs shot by Elkoury between 1960 and 2017. To select the images, Elkoury worked closely with curators Gregory Buchakjian and Manal Khader, as they sifted through his 50,000-image archive to choose the photographs that best reflect Elkoury’s oeuvre. There are breathtaking pictures of abandoned places, Lebanese people in mountain villages and even images that show the devastation of war. It’s a book to have, to gift, to cherish.
