FASHION CELEBRATES #LOVEWINS
Looks like the hottest trend for summer isn’t fringe, it’s gay marriage.
From Marc Jacobs to Diane von Furstenberg, the fashion world rejoiced the U.S. Supreme Court ruling Friday that made gay marriage legal in all 50 states. Like many unmarried social media users, Marc Jacobs used the ruling as an opportunity to bemoan his own single life. “Seems I’m always a bridesmaid, never a bride,” he wrote on Instagram. “Still, my heart is huge with this great news!!!”
Designer Michael Kors, who has been married to Lance LePere since 2011, said “As a married gay American, I am thrilled to see the Supreme Court’s decision on marriage equality. Love is love and an undeniable human right. I couldn’t be more proud to be an American.”
Victoria Beckham, who once said “I am a gay man in a woman’s body,” instagrammed several pictures in support of the ruling.
Singer Lady Gaga and model Cara Delevingne both posted photos from pride marches.
