Beirut’s Yasmine Jaber was studying sewing at ESMOD Paris when she met Morning Lau, from Hong Kong. The two designers then started their own brand: Exocet Paris.
Merging their two cultures, Yasmine and Morning produce a line of bags in line with genetic duality of their brand. At a pivotal time when technology tends to crowd out nature, the artifact replaces the biological reality and image. The two young women have imagined a generation of mixed race fashion items, appealing as much to craftsmanship as 3D printing, the technology that transmits the idea to the machine without transition, and gives body to the most abstract representations.
