IN DEPTH: NADA G
Jewelry designer Nada G first knew she wanted to be an artist when she watched her grandmother crochet in front of the fireplace as a young child. After a career in advertising, she launched her eponymous jewelry collection in 2003; the handmade pieces sold out within three days. Now with two boutiques and plans to expand globally, the designer shares her loves and loathings.
I’m most excited about… Many things! I’m always excited about creating the next collection. I get a lot of pleasure from emotionally connecting with women throughout the world through them.
Happiness is… Serenity, light and love.
My biggest vice is… Being picky about every little detail, and not understanding those who say to me “no one is going to notice.” Then again, this could be one of my best traits.
If I had to wear one thing for the rest of my life, it would be a… A powerful pinky ring.
A trend that makes me cringe is... I love creativity, and appreciate design, but I am not fond of being a walking billboard. Indiscreet logos across clothes, bags, shoes and, of course, jewelry turn me off.
