Alexander McQueen’s unhappiness was never a secret; in fact, it inspired some of his most memorable collections. In its major retrospective, “Savage Beauty,” The Victoria and Albert Museum profiles McQueen’s dark influences while championing him as the ingénue of 20th century fashion. Runs until August 2.
