CARTIER INTRODUCES ITS NEW COLLECTIONS IN BEIRUT
New creations in high-end jewelry and variations on the Essential Diamond and Panthère lines were the highlight of this exhibition.
Cartier revealed their new precious creations at the Metropolitan Art Society on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th of March 2016. So many new designs were exceptionally showing both timeless and contemporary characters of the pieces, which also were supported by a truly unique know-how and stones of rare quality.
The space at the M.A.S was transformed to giant jewelry boxes; the rooms with vertiginous ceilings of the old Beirut palace declined two major themes of the “Jeweler of the Kings”: the “Essential Diamond” and the” Panthère”.
The Essential Diamond collection
At the entrance of the room, illuminated by a white decor of snow, was brought in pictures a “timeline” of the most exceptional diamonds of Cartier’s history. The Cartier creations were displayed in ten secure windows each of which projected precious yet spirited , and classic yet contemporary vibes.
The Panthère collection
Just by stepping into this room, you could feel the boldness in the character of the Panther.
At the origin of this emblematic collection of the House of Cartier was Jeanne Toussaint, creative jeweler of the 1930s, lover and muse of Louis Cartier. The panther was her favorite feline, so she made it her icon.
The panther later became an almost identifying theme of the Cartier house. It is found within many attractive variants: Panthère Turquin Massaï, Panthère des Neiges Pompon, Panthère Indomptable, Langoureuse, Cristalline, Divine, Rêves de Panthères….
