BULLETS IN COPPER
Christian Carle-Catafago’s “SINCE THE END” exhibit explores memories of violence at Hamra’s Agial Gallery.
“The metal remembers and teaches. It remembers the bullets as they penetrate its shining surface, thus capturing the impacting memory; it holds within it the significance of that moment, its inerasable trace.” Thus describes the new exhibit by Argentine artist Christian Carle-Catafago; a series of copper interventions that each represent a period from 1975-2015. The artist is heavily influenced by the work of his teacher, the philosopher Paul Virilio.
Up through October 24 at Agial Gallery.
