AMERICAN IN PARIS
Watch the trailer for “L’Americaine,”a new film directed by Diana Agron to celebrate Tory Burch’s Paris Capsule Collection.
Tory Burch is launching a limited-edition collection Paris Capsule Collection at the Paris Flagship. To celebrate the release, the brand has launched a short film by Diana Agron, starring Margaret Qualley. “L’Américaine” hits us with a major flashback from the 1950s. The film features a French man in Paris, describing his newfound fascination: an American Girl. While he talks about this oh-so-dreamy girl, she twirls and swirls sporting different looks, from a pleated skirt, to a silky anorak. The lifestyle brand’s effortlessly chic look is captured all throughout the film.
“Parisian women have impeccable style. We wanted to honor that chic and sophisticated aesthetic, but still reflect our heritage as an American brand,” says Tory Burch. The whole collection embodies his personal style but with a touch of French details. She applies them with sophisticated techniques by using a soft palette of pink, olive, navy and sky blue: a very subtly colorful collection. The ready-to-wear’s classics, featured in the short film, are lined with graphic plaid, embellished with small crystals and beads, and feathered in abstract check patterns. Hand-dyed feathers adorn everything from clutches to sling back sandals. Totes and square satchels are made of vachetta leather, and the entire collection is completed with screen-printed stripes and plaid.
The Paris Capsule Collection will be launched in September at the Paris flagship, to later on expand to no more than nine select Tory Burch boutiques, including London, Milan, Munich, Los Angeles, New York, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Cheongdam. The collection will also be available at digital commerce channels worldwide.
