AÏSHTI IN PARIS
Aïshti CEO Tony Salamé held a press conference last Wednesday at Paris’s Grand Palais in honor of the Aïshti Foundation in Lebanon, which opens October 25 of this year.
Tony Salamé attended the conference with his wife, Elham, as well as the Foundation’s architect David Adjaye and his wife, Ashley Shaw-Scott.
Speeches were given by Tony Salamé, as well as Raymond Araijy, the Lebanese Minister of Culture and Jennifer Flay, Director of the FIAC Art Fair.
Additionally, Tony Salamé presented details of the Foundation with assistance from former director of the Modern Art Museum of California Jeffrey Deitch, Massimiliano Gioni, the director of the New Museum New York as well as David Adjaye, architect of the Aishti Foundation.
Following the conference, the terrace of the Mini Palais hosted a dinner for 130 people including artists Daniel Buren and Latifa Echkhach.
The Aïshti Foundation will be a unique mixed art gallery, retail and lifestyle space in Lebanon, the first of its kind in the region.
