A LETTER FROM HOME
We’re proud of our Lebanese over-achievers. Earlier this month, Salim Azzam presented his collection titled “Safar” at the Liza restaurant in Paris.
With the full support and help from the Starch-father Rabih Kayrouz, along with Liza and Ziad Asseily, Salim has taken his storytelling career to the next level.
To add to his Parisian success, Salim has been named one of the talented nominees at L’Orient-le-Jour’s “Génération Orient,” a movement that sheds the light on the generation that will (re)create Lebanon.
The travel-themed mini-collection is a recall of all his visual vocabulary such as embroidery and his village in the mountains as a starting point, Bâter. Coming from an endearing community in the beautiful Chouf mountains, it’s no surprise that Salim’s that attached to his roots. His garments are embroidered by the lovely local women there.
We’re proud of you, Salim, you remind us how beautiful Lebanon is and how talented our community can be. Keep up the good work and keep us inspired, always.
