MOSCHINO (PRE/MAIN) SS17
Jeremy Scott never disappoints: the designer has once again managed to create colourful, theatrical clothes, and make them completely wearable.
Patchworks of floral holograms, embroidery and printed dresses, flared pants, military jackets and smart suits dominate Scott’s 2017 Resort collection, with a dash of neon biker jackets, sweatshirts and jeans. The collection’s accessories were covered in scattered mirrors.
As for the Moschino Spring-Summer 17 collection, Scott chose Franco Moschino’s original aesthetics and molded them to throw playful riffs on consumer culture: a critique of our social media-mad-fake world that sees life in 2-D. That explains the paper doll-inspired collection with painted beads, fake bears and trompe l’oeil dresses.
