BOTTEGA VENETA — THE ART OF COLLABORATION
Tomas Maier launched The Art of Collaboration project in 2001 when he joined Bottega Veneta as Creative Director. The project brings together a number of famous photographers and contemporary artists to work on the Italian brand’s campaign for each season. From June 8 to June 28, Bottega Veneta presents the ‘Art of Collaboration’ exhibition at the not-for-profit art center Ullens Center for Contemporary Art (UCCA) at the heart of Beijing’s 798 Art District.
A culmination of selected photographs from the house’s campaigns document the comprehensive collaborations between Tomas Maier and renowned artists including Nan Goldin, Stephen Shore, Alex Prager, Robert Longo, Sam Taylor Johnson, Ryan McGinley, Peter Lindbergh, Ralph Gibson, Jack Pierson, David Armstrong, and Mona Kuhn. The show consolidates design and imagery telling the story of the evolution of the fashion house under Maier’s creative vision.
