DANIEL BUREN TRANSFORMS FONDATION LOUIS VUITTON
On May 11, the Fondation Louis Vuitton unveiled an immersive installation by French artist Daniel Buren, covering the billowing ‘glass sails’ of the iconic Frank Gehry building. In the piece, called The Observatory of Light, Buren utilizes an array of colored filters refracted on the 3,600 pieces of glass both inside and outside of the building. A kaleidoscope of color and light is created, temporarily changing the impression of the structure, in an installation that is sure to mesmerize. The Aïshti foundation’s collection includes works by the conceptual artist Daniel Buren on display at Aïshti by the Sea.
