HOW WE SEE
An introduction to artist Pamela Rosenkranz, whose work explores themes of loss and commercialism.
Swiss artist Pamela Rosenkranz produces abstract sculpture, works on paper and installations that deal with themes of loss and commercialism. She was born in Uri, Switzerland, in 1979 and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bern and the University of Zurich.
In an interview with the Art Review, she said “I don’t represent any country. I am interested in what it means to be human. How do we see? How does our biology, our history, our bodies affect our perception, our understanding of ourselves and the world?”
Rosenkranz’s work is on view as part of the New Skin exhibition at the Aïshti Foundation, Jal el Dib.
